Alfred is a Cardiff Business School graduate with an MBA in Management Consultancy and associate qualifications from Harvard Graduate School, Oxford University and The Canadian Securities Institute. As a professional, Alfred has over 10 years of experience in Finance, Projects and managing caseloads. Alfred is the current Program Director of this organization and a senior finance professional with the government of Alberta.

Philip Arthur joined Centre For Intellectual Excellence in 2019, and brings with him over 6 years of experience in Financial Reporting, Budgeting and Audit roles. Philip grew up in Ghana, and is an inspirational leader, communicator, and negotiator. His experience includes roles at AngloGold Ashanti Limited including Cost and Financial Officer, where he developed key skills including strategic and tactical budgeting and cost planning, supplier’s financial risk identification and mitigation, cross-functional collaboration, and departments and stakeholder relations. Philip is Currently enrolled in the University of Alberta Master of Accounting Program and will be earning the Chartered Professional Accounting Designation in 2022

Albert served as president of United Africa foundation and was responsible for running all facets of the organization. Since graduating from National Institute of Information Technology and earning a graduate diploma in Network Engineering and a Diploma in Project Management from the International Business Institute in Berlin, Albert has helped non-profits from a variety of vantage points.

Nicole Geissmann is an experienced self-directed event specialist. She helps the Organizing Comittee to successfully carrying out large exhibitions. She’s fluent in English, French and Spanish, with intermediate knowledge of Portuguese. She completed a bachelor’s degree in International Relations in December 2019.  Nicole has been honored as excellent public speaking and problem solving for her contributions in Model United Nations, earning a highlight of outstanding delegate in 2017.

She’s from El Salvador, and she’s also French. During her free time, she enjoys travelling, working out and dancing. She believes that listening to other people’s opinions is vital in becoming a considerate and non-judgemental person and that doing good for the community provides a natural sense of accomplishment. She’s excited to meet the team!   “

Asante is an educationist and an expert in fundraising.He has worked for various non govermental organizations. He previously worked for the commonwealth secretariat. Mr Asante is also Co founder of farmpal Rwanda. A digital farming initiative that has employs hundred of farmers in East Africa and also empowered the youth to take farming seriously. He has a postgraduate diploma in journalism , BA in international trade, and MA in diplomacy from the University of Westminster , London.






Bernard Asante, MDy

UK Coordinator

Blue is an Edmonton-based graphic designer. She graduated with honours from the Graphic Communication program at NAIT in 2020. She is currently a freelancer as well as a volunteer. As an Indigenous woman, Blue is drawn to causes related to Indigenous rights, diversity, and intersectional feminism. She hopes to use her art and design skills to increase awareness of social issues. Although new as a designer, Blue has been an illustrator for several years. Her art and design have been influenced by Poked Studios, Rob Reger, and animated television shows such as Sailor Moon. Her favourite projects are book covers, as she is a big reader. She hopes to one day publish a novel or two of her own. In her spare time, she scribbles stories, doodles drawings, and watches indie films.

Blue has lived in various towns across Alberta, including High Prairie, Kinuso, Claresholm, and Stavely. Coming from an Indigenous background, she has also lived on several reserves, including Peavine, Sucker Creek, and Driftpile. She feels a strong connection with Edmonton’s River Valley as she grew up close to nature for the majority of her life. She lives with her partner and two dogs in the Oliver neighbourhood.
