Blue is an Edmonton-based graphic designer. She graduated with honours from the Graphic Communication program at NAIT in 2020. She is currently a freelancer as well as a volunteer. As an Indigenous woman, Blue is drawn to causes related to Indigenous rights, diversity, and intersectional feminism. She hopes to use her art and design skills to increase awareness of social issues. Although new as a designer, Blue has been an illustrator for several years. Her art and design have been influenced by Poked Studios, Rob Reger, and animated television shows such as Sailor Moon. Her favourite projects are book covers, as she is a big reader. She hopes to one day publish a novel or two of her own. In her spare time, she scribbles stories, doodles drawings, and watches indie films.
Blue has lived in various towns across Alberta, including High Prairie, Kinuso, Claresholm, and Stavely. Coming from an Indigenous background, she has also lived on several reserves, including Peavine, Sucker Creek, and Driftpile. She feels a strong connection with Edmonton’s River Valley as she grew up close to nature for the majority of her life. She lives with her partner and two dogs in the Oliver neighbourhood.
